Tree Plantation

Date:- 16th August 2009
This activity falls under the service category.
It was held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on the 16th of August 2009
Mr. Amit Rastogi the IBDP Coordinator was the supervisor for this activity.

We planned to plant small saplings in our school garden. We planted these sapling because in the later future when they grow big; they will help in making our school get an attractive environment for studying, also it was a good thing because there weren't many such plants and trees in the campus so basically we did it to increase the greenery in the school campus as well. It was an exhilarating experience for me as it was the first time I was doing it. I was quite anxious to know how it is actually done. It was a very successful activity we spent some good quality time in completing it, and these plants have grown a little bit but we wont be here to watch them grow as huge trees and make the environment look beautiful. That day just because of a CAS activity I learnt how to plant a tree and water it. Now when I grow up I can have my own garden where I can plant trees by my own self. It made all of us whosoever were involved in this activity take a step towards saving the planet. Even though there were a few equipments that we were falling short because of the huge number of students working, we had a lot of fun. Our teachers helped us a lot, at times they too came with us and helped us in getting water for watering the saplings. This activity helped us and everyone living on this planet. We can all get some inspiration from our own work and feel proud of ourselves as we have taken a step towards saving the planet.
If there were a few more instructors and teachers available with us we could have done this even better, also if there were a few extra equipments. In all this activity amazing and we had a lot of fun. It helped all of us students take a step towards saving our planet from global warming.
